Back in January, Book Cover Justice reached 300 followers. I was stunned! When my sister asked me last year if I wanted to start a book blog with her, I jumped at the chance. I was excited to connect with other book lovers around the world. So when we reached 300 followers, I couldn't believe it. Who knew that people actually wanted to read my little opinion on random books? So I figured I would have a giveaway to thank everyone for their support and for coming back to the blog and offering their opinions. I never imagined that when the giveaway ended, I'd have gained another 200+ followers! I just want to say thank you to each and everyone one of you. You really have no idea how much this means to me.
As some of you may know, my husband works two full time jobs and is only home for about eight hours a night, basically he comes home to sleep and that's about it. We have two kids and one vehicle. Since he goes back and forth to two jobs, he has the car all week and I am pretty much stranded at the house. Reading and blogging are my stress relievers. Knowing that I'm not just sitting here typing away to no one really makes a huge difference in my life. I like knowing that there is actually someone out there who is reading my thoughts and I'm not just babbling to the wind.
Anyway, I have to admit that this giveaway was a huge success. There was a record 2,743 entries! Since I gained so many followers during the giveaway, there were six winners! That's crazy!
A few things I found interesting about this giveaway:
- The person with the last entry was chosen as a winner! (not that specific entry though)
- The person with the very first entry was chosen as a winner! (not that specific entry either though)
- The same person was chosen for two different prizes! That person also happens to be the very first blogger that I "met" and has since become one of my favorite blogging buddies.
- Not one winner lives the in US. Actually, there was one US winner but she has moved to Korea for a year so technically she doesn't live in the US right now.
So I'd like to say a huge congrats to the following winners:
